Mapleson F
Mapleson F breathing circuit, also known as the Jackson Rees modification, is a single-limb circuit commonly used in pediatric anesthesia. It is a variation of the Mapleson E circuit, distinguished by the addition of a reservoir bag with a hole at the end of the corrugated tubing. This hole can act as a manual adjustable pressure limiting (APL) valve or positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) valve. The Mapleson F is known for its simplicity, lightweight design, and ability to function as a non-rebreathing circuit.
